Meet The Fryers made its debut sales of potato balls, chicken nuggets, meat balls, french fries and, embotido on February 9, 2009 at the facade of Maria Cristina Building at University of the East, Caloocan Campus. It all started when Fatima De Castro-Mata heard about a vacancy of a food stall fronting the dormitory of the aforementioned building. It was being rented by a young enterprenuer named Anderson Co under franchised by tapsi delicacies who decided to sell its rights because of poor ROI plus the eminent effect of inconvenience of relocating residence from the nearby University Hills Subdivision to Quezon City. He wanted the advance and deposit of P9,000.00 back which is the stipulated in the contract is only withdraw able after a year. The deal was done by Friday, February 6, 2009 and lease of contract signed on the very day it started to operate. With the husband and wife tandem of Ceilito and Priscilla De Castro-Cruz introducing their recipe of potato balls and chicken nuggets, with yours truly, Vidal Mata (author of this blog) helping out structure the business, Meet The Fryers is finally a reality.

The name was conceptualized by Jezreel. Being a movie buff, she thought of the movie "Meet The Parents" which she simply renamed to "Meet The Fryers", since most of its products are fried. Inspired by Yuki's (grandson of Ceilito and Priscilla) children's book of Mr. Potato Head, the logo was designed to symbolize the potato, plus the word "fryers" a homonym to "friars", was made to look like monk cooks. Karlonne Santos drew the concept and I re-edited the design and thus:
